"Just" a Natural Makeup

It is believed that a "Natural" looking makeup is easier, takes less time and therefore should cost less than a full glam. Let me tell you, it's a no for all the above. Creating a natural looking makeup can sometimes take some real skill and technique to ensure the face looks beautifully finished, brightened, glowing and subtly contoured in such a way you'd never think makeup was even involved in the process.

The difference with a full glam, is that the idea is that you LOOK like you are wearing makeup, therefore, layering it on comes with the rule, "more is more". So providing you are skilled at a beautiful blend and knowing the correct colour placement, while layering up the pigment, and adding the lashes, you can't go too far wrong - although maybe still leave it to the Pros.

Whereas a natural looking makeup requires a eye for finding the natural contour of the face and subtly enhancing its depth with soft shadows, brightening the skin in areas that naturally catch the light, and finally adding a pinch of colour to the cheeks and lips that makes you look like you've just been on a brisk walk. Sounds simple, but might find yourself still using a full face of makeup to create this "effortless" (definately not effortless) look. It's just the colour palette and shading that differs....
