Does anyone else feel the pressure of the whole "New Year New You" culture?
I appreciate there are always things we can do to improve our quality of life, mindset, mental health, fitness... but make sure it's realistic. Baby steps. Because I've given up on the idea of resolutions entirely (apart from trying to swear less - forgive me.), and instead, have decided to keep pushing on in the direction I've worked hard to pave in 2023.
For me 2023 was a huge learning curve for many reasons, and it came to an end with me feeling (finally) at ease with myself, who I am, what I want from my beautiful circle of friends and family, and what I can give those special people in return. I want to focus on my own work, set my own goals and achieve my own successes in the way I define it, not how Social Media might decide is successful. I've had help in getting me there in many ways, and can honestly say, it's been a game changer for my headspace. I'm learning to adopt boundaries personally and professionally, which is huge for me and these are all things I've put in place ahead of the New Year to avoid the pressure, and instead, will just keep on going with this new healthy mindset.
So here's to 2024 - the year of peace and happiness.
Sending good energy to you all!
